How to Use

These switches are designed for mechanical keyboards with 5-pin hot-swap sockets. Before installation, ensure your keyboard PCB is compatible with 5-pin switches.

1. Use a switch puller to remove your existing switches.

2. Align the two plastic side pins and the two metal contact pins of the Marshmallow R2 with the corresponding holes on your PCB socket.

3. Press the switch straight down firmly until it snaps into the plate.

4. If you encounter resistance, stop and check for bent pins.

Note:** These switches are not compatible with 3-pin sleeve hot-swap boards, magnetic switch boards, or optical keyboards.

Care & Safety

To maintain the smooth factory lubrication and electrical conductivity, store any spare switches in a cool, dry, and dust-free environment. Handle the copper contact pins with care; if a pin becomes bent during transit or installation, use a pair of tweezers to gently straighten it before attempting to insert it into the keyboard. Keep away from liquids to prevent short-circuiting or corrosion of the internal contact leaves.
