How to Use
This stew pot is designed exclusively for water-bath stewing (also known as double boiling). It cannot be used directly over an open flame or on a stovetop burner.
1. Place your ingredients and liquid inside the Zisha stew pot and secure the lid.
2. Set the lidded Zisha pot inside a larger, outer pot (like a stockpot or Dutch oven).
3. Add water to the outer pot, ensuring the water level comes up to about halfway on the side of the inner Zisha pot.
4. Bring the water in the outer pot to a simmer over your stove. The indirect heat will gently cook the contents of the Zisha pot.
5. Slow-cook according to your recipe, adding more water to the outer pot as needed to prevent it from boiling dry.
Care & Safety
CRITICAL:** Do NOT use this pot directly on any open flame, electric stovetop, or induction cooktop. It is designed for indirect heat via water-bath stewing only. Direct heat will cause it to crack.
Handle with care, as this is a ceramic product.
Wash by hand with warm water. Avoid using harsh soaps or detergents, as the porous clay can absorb them.
