Discover a tea that tells a story of time and terroir. This 2013 vintage Lao Cong Shui Xian (Old Bush Narcissus) is a rare Wuyi rock oolong, harvested from semi-wild tea bushes over 60 years old. Grown in the prestigious Zhengyan core production area of the Wuyi Mountains, this tea has been masterfully charcoal-roasted and carefully aged to develop a uniquely complex and comforting character.
Key Benefits
Exceptional Origin:** Sourced from tea bushes over 60 years of age growing semi-wild in the rocky, nutrient-rich soil of the Wuyi Mountains' core Zhengyan region.
Rich & Smooth Flavor:** Experience a mellow, full-bodied infusion that is remarkably smooth. Its flavor profile features the distinct *cong wei*—the signature character of old bushes—with a deep, lasting aroma.
Artisanal Charcoal Roasting:** Crafted using a traditional, slow charcoal-roasting process that spans several months. This technique transforms the tea, imparting a deep, warming quality and enhancing its complexity.
Aged Vintage Character:** As a 2013 vintage, this tea has had years to mature, mellowing any astringency and allowing its rich, nuanced flavors to deepen into something truly special.
Natural Cultivation:** The tea bushes grow in harmony with their environment, coexisting with moss and ferns without the use of fertilizers or pesticides, absorbing the pure essence of their mountain home.

How to Use
For the best experience, we recommend brewing this tea using the gongfu method.
1. Warm a gaiwan or small teapot with hot water.
2. Add approximately 5-7 grams of tea leaves.
3. Perform a quick rinse by adding hot water (200–212°F / 95–100°C) and immediately pouring it out. This awakens the leaves.
4. For the first infusion, steep for 15–25 seconds, then pour into a cup to enjoy.
5. For subsequent infusions, gradually increase the steeping time. This tea can be re-steeped multiple times, with each infusion revealing a new layer of its complex character.
Care & Safety
To preserve the quality and flavor of your tea, store it in an airtight, opaque container in a cool, dry place. Keep it away from direct sunlight, moisture, and strong odors.
