Lamy 2000 Fountain Pen: 14k Gold Nib & Makrolon Body
Product Description
LAMY 2000 Series Classic Fountain Pen - German Engineering Excellence
The LAMY 2000 Series Classic Fountain Pen is more than just a writing instrument; it is a living piece of design history. Since its introduction in 1966, this model has defined the "Form Follows Function" philosophy of the Bauhaus movement. Crafted for those who appreciate the tactile joy of putting pen to paper, it remains an essential centerpiece for any serious stationery collection. Designed by the legendary Gerd A. Müller, its understated elegance and matte finish make it a sophisticated companion for the boardroom, the studio, or the private journal.
Key Benefits
Seamless Integrated Design:** The body and grip flow together effortlessly, creating a sleek, monolithic silhouette. This nearly invisible transition provides an ergonomic hold that reduces hand fatigue during extended writing sessions.
14K Gold Semi-Hooded Nib:** Features a vintage-style 14K gold nib that offers a smooth, responsive writing experience. The semi-hooded design protects the nib, making it resistant to splitting and ensuring a long functional lifespan.
High-Capacity Piston System:** Equipped with a built-in piston filling mechanism, this pen offers a significantly larger ink reservoir than standard cartridge pens, making it ideal for high-volume writing.
Effortless Refilling:** The advanced piston design allows you to draw ink directly into the pen through the nib. You can complete the entire refilling process without ever needing to unscrew the barrel, keeping the process clean and efficient.
Heritage of German Craftsmanship:** Proudly bearing the "Design. Made in Germany" mark, every component is precision-engineered to meet the highest standards of durability and performance.

How to Use
To fill your LAMY 2000, ensure you have a bottle of high-quality fountain pen ink. Gently rotate the piston knob at the rear of the barrel to extend the internal plunger. Submerge the nib completely into the ink bottle and rotate the knob back to its original position to draw ink into the internal reservoir. Because of the integrated design, there is no need to disassemble the pen body. Once filled, use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe any excess ink from the nib and grip before writing.
Care & Safety
To maintain optimal ink flow, always replace the cap securely after use to prevent the nib from drying out. If the pen is not used for an extended period, or if you are changing ink colors, flush the internal system with lukewarm water until it runs clear. Store the pen in a cool, dry environment. Use only dedicated fountain pen bottled ink; avoid using calligraphy or drawing inks that contain shellac or heavy pigments, as these may clog the precision piston system.
Notes
This iconic writing instrument is renowned for its "一体式笔身设计" (integrated body design) which provides a perfect balance of weight, durability, and timeless aesthetic appeal.
